The Cardinals jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three complete, then held on for a
10-8 victory and a berth in the final against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jerod Haase led Hamilton with a pair of two-run home runs, his second and third of the post-season. Sean Reilly added two hits and three RBI�s while Jeff Martin belted a solo home run in the fifth inning. Starter Bill Lawrence earned the win, giving up five earned runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking one. Andrew Schwalm picked up the save after throwing a hitless ninth.
For Guelph Kevin Hinton belted a two-run home run in the fourth inning, had two singles and four RBI�s. Jason Borghese added three hits, an RBI and scored three times. Royals� starter Brian Dikdan took the loss, allowing six earned runs on five hits over three innings. He struck out one and walked five.
Game one of the Championship Series will be played Wednesday night in Toronto at 7:30.
