At Oshawa, Mick Kurhan drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Dodgers to an 8-7 win over the St. Thomas stars in the first game of a rain-delayed doubleheader.
Jeremy Hartin lead off the seventh with a triple and scored on Kurhan�s sacrifice fly. Leadoff batter Tony Quick walked four times, stole two bases and scored three runs.
Jamaal Joseph (1-0) allowed one unearned run in two innings of relief for the win and Nathan French (0-1) allowed five runs in five innings for St. Thomas.
Kurhan had a two-run homer in the third inning to power Oshawa to a 6-1 win in the second-half of the doubleheader.
Chad Stone (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Oshawa and Darby Parsons (0-1) took the loss in a complete game effort for St. Thomas.
Hartin had two doubles and drove in a pair of runs in the win.
