In Brantford, Dave Parsons scored two runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth inning, to lift the Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Guelph Royals.
Parsons had two hits, including a double, and scored the winner from second base on a Jason Gottwalt single.
Stefan Strecker (3-0) pitched 1 2/3 hitless innings for the win in relief of starter Brad Hogeterp, who gave up one run in 7 1/3 innings.
Brian Dikdan (1-2) went the distance for Guelph, allowing both runs on five hits while striking out 10 batters. Chris Becker tripled for Guelph and Trevor Churchill added a pair of hits and scored a run.

Paul Spoljaric (2-0) worked six innings for the win, allowing two runs and five hits while striking out nine batters. Spoljaric leads the league with 39 strikeouts in 19 innings.
Kevin Treichel added a solo homer in the fifth inning and Damon Topolie pitched in with a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs.
Justin Bartkiewicz (0-1) gave up seven runs and eight hits in 3 2/3 innings. Shawn Lynn hit a pinch-hit solo homer in the eighth inning for Hamilton.
