Brantford Red Sox 5, Waterloo Tigers 1

In Brantford, Wayne Forman drove in the winning run with an eighth inning double to help the Red Sox to a 5-1 win over the Waterloo Tigers.

Ryan Lane had two singles, including one in the eighth inning that led to the winning run.

Brad Hogeterp (2-0) pitched the complete game, striking out 15 batters while allowing one run and five hits.

Kyle Nicoletta (0-1) allowed five runs - one unearned - and 10 hits in eight innings. Matt Moir singled and scored the Tigers only run.

In Oshawa, Pat Tobin had two hits and drove in the winning run in the third inning to lift the Dodgers to a 3-2 win over the Kitchener Panthers.

Ryan Balan (1-0) pitched six innings, giving up two runs and three hits and Jamaal Joseph pitched three scoreless innings for his first save.

Jason Booth (0-1) allowed three runs and five hits in 2 2/3 innings and Harpreet Padda was two-for-three with an RBI.

Al Stephens had a pair of hits and drove in a run in the win.

In Guelph, R.J. Lambert crushed a three-run home run in the first inning to power the Hamilton Cardinals to a 5-3 win over the Royals.

Craig Hawkins (2-0) pitched the complete game, allowing three runs and four hits for the win.

Paul Bruder (2-1) gave up five runs - three earned - and seven hits in 7 1/3 innings. Jason Borghese had a pair of hits and drove in a run.

Mike Koitsopoulos had a pair of hits, including a double, and scored the winning run.

Brad Bissell (1-1) surrendered five runs and 10 hits in 8 1/3 innings and David Latour had a double and drove in a run for Barrie.
