July 3 - Intercounty Baseball Results

Barrie Baycats 3, Oshawa Dodgers 0

In Barrie, Brad Bissell tossed a complete game shutout to back the Baycats to a 3-0 win over the Oshawa Dodgers.

Bissell (4-2) allowed seven hits while striking out 11 batters and walking one. It was his third complete game of the season.

Rob Roy had a pair of hits and an RBI and Cory Turchan added two hits and scored the winning run on an infield throwing error in the second inning.

Ryan Balan (3-2) gave up three runs - one unearned - and seven hits in a complete-game effort for Oshawa.

Brantford Red Sox 15, Toronto Maple Leafs 1

In Brantford, Eric Wolfe homered and drove in three runs to power the Red Sox to a 15-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Wayne Forman added three singles and scored and Chad Elmy had a pair of hits and scored the winning run in the second inning.

Brad Hogeterp (4-2) pitched eight innings, giving up one run and seven hits while striking out eight batters for the win.

Matt Kniginyzky (0-2) surrendered four runs - two earned - and three hits in four innings.

Sean Travers had a pair of hits and scored the Maple Leafs lone run on a Rob Patterson single in the seventh inning.

Kitchener Panthers 11, St. Thomas Storm 1

In Kitchener, Jason Booth pitched six scoreless innings to back the Panthers to an 11-1 win over the St. Thomas Storm.

St. Thomas starter Paul McClenaghan (0-1) retired just one of the nine batters he faced in the first inning, giving up eight runs on two hits and six walks.

Booth (1-1) allowed three hits and struck out four batters for the win.

IBL batting leader Harpreet Padda had a two-run double in the first inning and Mark Johnston added a pair of hits, including an RBI double in the sixth inning.

Chris Gosnell had a pair of hits and drove in the St. Thomas run in the ninth inning.
