Toronto Maple Leafs 9, Kitchener Panthers 2
In Toronto, Rob Butler clubbed a pair of home runs, including a three run shot in the sixth inning to power the Maple Leafs to a 9-2 win over the Kitchener Panthers.
Butler also hit a solo shot in the third inning and Damon Topolie hit a two-run blast in the third. Tyler Johnstone added a two-run single in the sixth inning.
Paul Spoljaric (9-0) worked seven innings for Toronto, giving up two runs - one earned - and four hits while striking out six batters and walking three. John Chadwick struck out three batters in two hitless innings to finish the game.
Joel Scott (2-3) gave up nine runs - seven earned - and 10 hits in six innings for Kitchener.

In London, Sean Latimer had a pair of hits and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Majors to a 3-2 win over the St. Thomas Storm.
Jared Franke (1-0) went the distance for London, giving up two runs and four hits while striking out eight batters and walking four.
Rick Ross (1-6) gave up three runs and seven hits in a complete-game effort for St. Thomas. Darby Parsons had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Storm.

Richie Reid added a pair of singles and scored twice for Brantford.

In Hamilton, Mark McDonald tossed six scoreless innings and Shane Ridley clubbed a two-run home run to pace the Cardinals to a 4-0 win on the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
McDonald (2-0) gave up one hit - a single to Greg Stefan to lead off the game - and struck out 12 batters in the win. Joe Hill maintained the shutout with two strikeouts in an inning of relief.
Adam Beck (0-2) worked the complete game for Waterloo, giving up four runs - three earned - and seven hits.
Sean Reilly homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs to help the Cardinals to a 10-8 win in the second game.
Andy Steeds, who had a pair of singles and scored a run in the first game, added a two-run single that brough in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning.
Shawn Lynn (3-1) picked up the win after giving up two runs - one earned - and seven hits in six innings of relief of starter Joe Hill, who gave up six runs in the first inning.
Tyler Wilson (2-3) allowed two runs and one hit in 1 1/3 innings of relief and Jason Herbert smacked three singles and scored a run for Waterloo.
