Guelph Royals 8, Kitchener Panthers 7
In Kitchener, Chris Becker smacked a two-run single in the eighth inning to give the Guelph Royals an 8-7 come-from-behind win over the Panthers and a four-game sweep of their semi-final playoff series.
Becker had a pair of hits and scored and Kevin Hinton added two singles in the win.
Kris Kewley (1-0) picked up the win with 1/3 of an inning of relief after starter Paul Bruder allowed seven runs and nine hits while striking out 11 batters in 6 2/3 innings.
Mike Olides (0-1) gave up four runs and three hits in 1/3 of an inning of relief for starter Bryon Bell, who gave up four runs and five hits in seven innings.
Brian Carter belted a solo home run in the fifth inning and Craig Stroh had a pair of hits for Kitchener, who had a four-run lead after seven innings.

Brantford Red Sox 11, Toronto Maple Leafs 10
In Toronto, Dave Parsons had three hits, including a solo home run in the 10th inning, to lift the Brantford Red Sox to an 11-10 win over the Maple Leafs. Brantford leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 and host Game 3 on Friday.
Scott Hughes tied the game with a grand slam in the ninth inning to cap a Brantford rally that brought them back from a six-run deficit. Jason Gotwalt added three hits - including a solo home run - and drove in two runs in the win.
Mark Ferguson (1-0) struck out two batters in 2/3 of an inning of relief for the win after starter Brett Gibson allowed four runs and five hits in three innings. Stefan Strecker retired the final two batters for his first post-season save.
Mark Eccleton (0-1) gave up the winning run in one inning of relief for starter Doug Dimma, who allowed three runs in seven innings.
Rob Patterson belted a pair of hits for Toronto, including a two-run home run that gave Toronto a 10-6 lead in the eighth inning. Mike Grieve added three hits and drove in a pair of runs and Sean Travers added a pair of hits and scored twice.
