Guelph takes 3-1 lead in IBL Championship Series
Guelph Royals 7, Brantford Red Sox 5 (11 innings)
In Brantford, Kyle Leon drove in the winning run with a one-out double in the 11th inning to lift the Guelph Royals to a 7-5 win over the Red Sox. Guelph leads the Intercounty Baseball League Championship Series 3-1 and host Game 5 at home on Thursday.
Kevin Hinton homered in the sixth inning and drove in three runs and Chris Becker added three singles in the win. Rob Dinwoodie was hit by a pitch in the 11th inning and came around to score the winning run on Leon's double.
Aaron Little (2-0) tossed 5 1/3 scoress innings of relief for the win after starter Casey Cooper allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings.
Scott Hughes belted a pair of doubles and Matt Fortuna had a double and homered for Brantford.
Mark Ferguson (1-2) gave up a pair of runs and one hit in 1 1/3 innings of relief for starter Brett Gibson, who gave up four runs and nine hits in five innings.
