Intercounty Baseball Results - Saturday May 15

Kitchener Panthers 12, Barrie Baycats 11 (11 innings)

In Barrie, Jeff Pietraszko slugged a one-out home run in the 11th inning to give the Kitchener Panthers a 12-11 win over the Baycats in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.

Mark Johnston had four hits and drove in three runs for the Panthers and Chris Dickie (1-0) picked up the win in relief after allowing two runs in two innings.

Chris Nova, Adwin Springer and Matt Van Geene each had two hits for Barrie.

John McNabb (0-1) suffered the loss after giving up three runs and five hits in two innings of relief.

Hamilton Cardinals 11, Guelph Royals 9

In Guelph, RJ Lambert had three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs to help the Hamilton Cardinals to an 11-9 win over the Guelph Royals.

Mark McDonald (1-0) was the winner after striking out two batters and giving up a pair of hits in three innings.

Sean Reilly, Jason Borghese, Jamie Pogue and Ted Drew Smith homered for Guelph.

Ryan Armstrong (0-1) gave up 10 hits and four earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Oshawa Dodgers 6, Stratford Storm 0 (Game 1)

In Oshawa, Ken Calway blasted a solo homer run that sparked the Oshawa Dodgers to a 6-0 win over the Stratford Storm in the first game of a doubleheader.

Vance Cozier (1-0) tossed six scoreless innings for the win. He struck out four batters and allowed five hits.

Darryl Reid had a pair of hits, including a two-run single in the second inning.

Yoel Fernandez (0-1) gave up six runs - five earned - and eight hits in six innings.

John Hanko had two hits, including a three-run double in the seventh inning, to pace the Storm to a 5-1 win on the second game.

Jash Braybee also had two hits and Matt Moyer drove in the winning run with a single in the seventh inning.

Brian Stewart (1-0) gave up one run and six hits in seven innings to back the Storm to their first win of the season.

Reliever Blake Farley (0-1) walked both of the batters that he faced in the seventh inning.

Brantford Red Sox 6, Toronto Maple Leafs 3

In Brantford, Nildo Munoz belted a game-winning two-run homer in the fourth inning to help the Red Sox double the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3.

Brad Payne smacked a pair of singles and scored a run and Brad Hogeterp (1-0) pitched the complete game for Branftord, giving up three hits and three walks.

Toronto starter Chris Ralph (0-1) gave up five runs and six hits in five innings.

Kevin Treichel homered and drove in three runs for Toronto.
