Guelph Royals 21, Stratford Storm 0

In Stratford, Kyle Leon hit a pair of three-run home runs to power the Guelph Royals to a 21-0 win over the Stratford Storm in the Intercounty Baseball League on Sunday.

Dave Teboekhorst also homered and Joel Lynch added a pair of doubles and drove in two runs.

Meleti Melehes (1-0) tossed six scoreless innings for the win. Relievers Jason Perry and Duane Fagel maintained the shutout.

Brian Green (0-1) gave up 14 runs - 10 earned � on nine hits in 2 2/3 innings.

In Hamilton, Adam Springer stroked a run-scoring triple that helped the Barrie Baycats to a 6-4 win over the Hamilton Cardinals.

Angus Roy (1-0) allowed two runs and 13 hits in eight innings for the win.

Matt Lareau (0-1) gave up five runs � one unearned � and 10 hits in seven innings and Andy Steeds had a pair of singles and scored two runs.

Brantford Red Sox 5, Toronto Maple Leafs 3 (11 innings)

In Toronto, Dave Parsons drove in the winning run with a single in the 11th inning and Lenni Elias added a sacrifice fly for an insurance run to give the Brantford Red Sox a 5-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mark Ferguson (1-0) tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the win after Stefan Strecker gave up three runs and nine hits while striking out seven batters in nine innings.

David Hatch (0-1) gave up two runs and five hits in two innings in relief of Paul Spoljaric, who allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings.
