In Guelph, Dave Teboekhorst hit a grand slam in the eighth inning that powered the Guelph Royals to a 12-3 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in the Intercounty Baseball League on Tuesday.
Aaron Little (2-0) worked 2 1/3 scoreless innings for the win in relief of Mel Melehes, who gave up three runs and five hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Sean Reilly scored twice and drove in three runs for Guelph, who travel to Brantford to face the Red Sox on Wednesday.
Brett Backman (0-1) allowed five runs - three earned - and six hits in six innings.
Steve Budia had a pair of hits and drove in a run in his debut with Oshawa, who host the Barrie Baycats on Wednesday.
