In Brantford, Nildo Munoz had three hits, including an eighth-inning single that brought in the winning run to lift the Brantford Red Sox to a 10-9 win over the Guelph Royals in the Intercounty Baseball League on Wednesday.
John Cosentino (1-0) earned the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief for starter Brad Hogeterp, who gave up seven runs - two earned - in 4 2/3 innings.
Nathan Tami (0-1) was tagged for three runs - one earned - in 2/3 of an inning of relief.
Sean Travers had a pair of hits, including a double, and scored two runs for Guelph.

In Oshawa, Kevin Brown belted a two-run single in the fifth inning to help the Barrie Baycats to a 9-5 win over the Oshawa Dodgers.
Jordan Neufeld (1-0) allowed one run and six hits in five innings for the win and Matt Miller worked 3 1/3 scoreless innings of relief for the save.
Mike Roga (0-1) allowed three runs - two earned - and two hits in four innings. Jeff Tobin, Ryan Crotin and Mick Kurhan each had two hits for Oshawa.
