In Toronto, Rob Butler hit a pair of solo homers that powered the Toronto Maple Leafs to an 11-2 win over the Kitchener Panthers in one of three games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Wednesday.
Jess Robertson had three hits, including a solo homer, and drove in five runs in the win. Kevin Treichel and Damon Topolie each added three hits.
Jeff Reeves (1-0) allowed one run and seven hits across five innings for the win.
Kitchener starter Darcy Osipinko (0-3) was tagged for four runs in 4 2/3 innings.
