Intercounty Baseball Results - Tuesday June 22

Guelph Royals 12, Stratford Storm 3

In Guelph, Kyle Leon and Sean Reilly each belted grand slams to power the Guelph Royals to a 12-3 win over the Stratford Storm in one of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Tuesday.

Frank Hare also homered for Guelph and Kris Dabrowiecki (1-0) allowed three runs and six hits while striking out nine batters in six innings.

Stratford starter Brian Green (0-4) was tagged for nine runs and five hits in two innings.

Josh Braby was three-for-four and drove in a run for Stratford.

Kitchener Panthers 12, London Majors 11 (11 innings)

In London, Harpreet Padda had three hits, including a two-run homer in the 11th inning to help the Kitchener Panthers to a 12-11 win over the London Majors.

Mark Johnson had four hits and drove in two runs and Ryan Roeder added three hits, including a double, and scored the winning run in the 11th inning.

Chris Dickie (4-0) earned the win despite giving up seven runs - five earned - and seven hits in two innings. Mark Schmidt picked up the save with one scoreless inning of relief.

Simon Galarraga had four hits, including a two-run ground rule double that tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Kevin Virtue (1-4) allowed four runs and six hits in four innings.
