Intercounty Baseball Results - Saturday June 26

Barrie Baycats 11, Kitchener Panthers 7

In Barrie, Corey Turchan belted a three-run triple in the eighth inning to give the Barrie Baycats an 11-7 win over the Kitchener Panthers in one of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.

Jonathan Baksh also tripled and drove in two runs and Toby Legacy doubled and scored three runs in the win.

Casey Virtue (2-1) gave up one runs and four hits in six innings of relief for starter Angus Roy, who was tagged for six runs in two innings.

Chris Dickie (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season after surrendering four runs and two hits in one inning of relief.

Luke Baker was three-for-five with a home run and Mark Johnston homered and drove in two runs.

London Majors 7, Guelph Royals 5

In Guelph, Simon Galarraga smacked his second homer of the season to help the London Majors defeat the Guelph Royals 7-5.

Kevin Virtue had a pair of hits and drove in two runs and Jeremy Middleton (1-1) earned the win by holding Guelph to two runs and four hits in four innings.

Rob Findley (0-1) allowed five runs - two earned - and five hits in one inning of work.

Rob Dinwoodie had two hits and an RBI and Sean Reilly was two-for-five with two runs batted in.
