Brantford Red Sox 7, Oshawa Dodgers 5
In Brantford, John Mariotti doubled and then scored the winning run to cap a four-run seventh inning that gave the Brantford Red Sox a 7-5 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in one of three games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Wednesday.
Wayne Forman had a pair of singles and drove in two runs, including the game-winner, while T.J. Shimizu added three hits, including a double, and scored three runs.
Tony Bacci (1-0) allowed four runs - three earned - and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings for the win and Matt Miller closed the game for his first save.
Ben Chisholm (0-1) allowed three runs and five hits in four innings for Oshawa.
Kyle Sheppard had a pair of singles and drove in two runs and Ken Calway singled and tripled in the loss.

In London, Kyle Leon belted a pair of three-run homers to power the Guelph Royals to a 23-6 win over the London Majors.
Chris Becker had five hits, including a double, and scored four runs and Jamie Pogue added three hits, including a bases-clearing double in the second inning. Mark Brohman was four-for-four and drove in four runs for Guelph.
Bryan Barr (2-0) allowed six runs - three earned - and nine hits in six innings.
London starter Adam Gautreau (1-2) was pulled with none out in the second inning after being clubbed for nine runs - eight earned - on four hits, five walks and two wild pitches.
Kevin MacDonald had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for London.

Russ Williams (3-1) picked up the win after allowing nine runs and 12 hits in five innings.
Hamilton starter Brett Lawson allowed three runs and two hits before leaving the game with an injury in the second inning. Matt Lareau (0-6) was tagged for seven runs and 11 hits in four innings.
Geoff Allen slugged a three-run homer in the fifth inning for Hamilton.
