Toronto Maple Leafs 7, Barrie Baycats 4
In Toronto, Joe Colameco blasted a three-run homer in the eighth inning to push the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 7-4 come-from-behind win over the Barrie Baycats that clinched the 2004 Intercounty Baseball League pennant for the Maple Leafs.
Reliever Matt Kniginyzky (3-1) earned the win for Toronto and Dave Hatch retired the final two batters for his first save of the season.
Damon Topolie also homered and Mike Grieve added a two-run single in the win.
Cam Newitt (1-2) took the loss for Barrie.

Hamilton Cardinals 4, Stratford Storm 3
In Hamilton, P.J. MacDonald had a pair of singles and drove in a run to help the Hamilton Cardinals edge the Stratford Storm 4-3.
Andy Steeds singled and scored two runs and Jay Grieves added a base hit and a run for Hamilton.
Tom Robertson (1-0) allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings for the win and Nathan Penrose struck out three batters in the final two innings for his first save.
Brian Stewart (1-3) gave up three runs and four hits in four innings.
Dallas Pearson had two hits, including a double, and scored a run and Jason Davidson singled and drove in a run for Stratford.

London Majors 9, Kitchener Panthers 5
In Kitchener, Steve Charles belted a pair of two-run home runs to power the London Majors to a 9-5 win over the Kitchener Panthers.
Kevin Virtue also homered and John Boom added three hits in the win.
Tom VanKasteren (2-5) pitched the complete game for London, allowing five runs and 13 hits while striking out seven batters.
Dane Anderson (1-1) took the loss after giving up three runs and three hits in 1/3 of an inning of relief for starter Chris Currie, who held London to one run and four hits in four innings.
Mark Johnston was three-for-four with a double and a homer and Jeff Pietraszko and Ryan Roeder also homered for Kitchener.

Playoff Format
The top eight teams at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the 2004 IBL Playoffs. The first place team plays the eighth place team, the second place team plays the seventh place team, third plays sixth and fourth
plays fifth in the first round of the playoffs, which begins on Wednesday July 28. All first round series are best-of-seven games. The second round series begin on August 7 and the championship final series begins on August
18. All playoff series are best-of-seven.
