Barrie Baycats 9, Guelph Royals 3
In Guelph, Ryan Davis smacked four hits and scored three runs to help the Barrie Baycats to a 9-3 win over the Guelph Royals to tie their Intercounty Baseball League playoff series at one game each.
Davis also drove in two runs and Toby Legace and Jonathan Baksh each added three hits in the win.
Angus Roy (1-0) went the distance for Barrie, allowing three runs and nine hits while striking out two batters and walking two.
Brian Barr (0-1) took the loss for Guelph after giving up five runs and nine hits in six innings.
Sean Reilly had a pair of hits and scored a run and Trevor Churchill belted a two-run double in the loss.
