Visiting Toronto jumped out to an insurmountable 5-0 after half an inning at Bechtel Park tonight and cruised to a 10-4 victory. Rob Butler started things off with a lead off home run in the first inning, and he would later add a single. Rob Patterson led the Maple Leafs attack with four hits and an RBI while rookie Dan Gibbons had three hits, including a home run (his second in two games). Rich Butler also had a home run for first-place Toronto. Starting pitcher Chris Rauth gave up four earned runs on nine hits in seven innings. He struck out four and walked a pair. For Waterloo Mike Curphey went the distance in a losing effort. He surrendered ten earned runs while striking out four and walking two. David Lamky led the Tigers attack with two hits, including his first home run of the season, and two RBI�s.

Jeff Pietraszko continued his incredible, early-season offensive run tonight in London. He came into the game batting .650 and upped his average by going 4 for 6 with a home run, double, two singles and five RBI�s to give him 15. He was supported by Luke Baker who was 3 for 6 with two RBI�s, Joel Scott who went 3 for 5 and Mark Pederson who has two hits and three RBI�s. Adam Hornastaj went seven innings for the win. He gave up two earned runs on six hits in eight innings while striking out six and walking four. For the Majors Joe Wollscheid went two for three with a triple. Trevor Bishop took the loss after surrendering nine earned runs in three innings. He struck out three and walked four.
