London Majors 1, Kitchener Panthers 0
In London, Kevin Virtue led off the second inning with a homerun that gave the London Majors a 1-0 win over the Kitchener Panthers in one of three Intercounty Baseball League playoff games on Saturday.
Jeremy Middleton (1-0) pitched seven scoreless innings for London, allowing seven hits and one walk and striking out two batters. Kris Kewley got the save after striking out two batters in two innings to maintain the shutout.
Joel Scott (0-1) allowed one run and four hits while striking out nine batters and walking three in a complete-game effort for Kitchener.
Craig Stroh tripled for Kitchener, who had hits from eight different players.

In Oshawa, Eric Wolfe clubbed a two-run homer in the 11th inning to help the Brantford Red Sox to a 7-2 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in the first complete game of their playoff series.
Tyler Burnell had three hits and scored the winning run on an infield error in the 11th inning and Wayne Forman added a pair of singles in the win.
Tony Bacci (1-0) allowed two runs - one earned - and five hits in 10 innings. He struck out eight batters and walked five in the win.
Adam Clarke (0-1) allowed five unearned runs in three innings of relief after starter Travis Gilligan allowed two unearned runs on eight hits in eight innings.
Pat Tobin was two-for-five with an RBI and Tim Smith singled and drove in a run for Oshawa.
Game 1 of the series that was suspended with the score tied at six in the 10th inning will be completed before Game 3 on Sunday in Brantford.

In Barrie, Sean Reilly had two hits, including a home run, and scored the winning run in the seventh inning to help the Guelph Royals to a 5-2 win over the Barrie Baycats. Guelph leads the series 2-1 and hosts Game 4 on Sunday.
Sean Travers had two hits and drove in a pair of runs in the win.
Brian Dikdan (1-0) allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings and Aaron Little struck out three batters in two scoreless innings of relief for the save.
Derek McDaid (0-1) allowed three runs and seven hits while striking out eight batters in 6 2/3 innings.
Jonathan Baksh had three hits, including a triple, and scored for Barrie.
