In Barrie, Mark Johnston was three-for-five and drove in three runs to pace the Kitchener Panthers to a 6-2 win over the Baycats in one of three games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.
Joel Scott had a pair of hits, including a double, and Harpreet Padda added two hits and drove in a pair of runs in the win.

Alex Borgo belted a two-run homer in the fourth inning for Barrie. Cam Newitt (0-1) allowed four runs - three earned - and six hits across four innings.

In Guelph, Kevin Hinton belted a grand slam in the second inning to power the Royals to a 28-0 win over the Stratford Storm.
Hinton had three hits and drove in eight runs in the win while Jeff Jarockis hit a solo homer in the fifth inning and Dave Lamky added a two-run blast in the eighth.
Brian Dikdan (1-0) pitched five hitless innings for the win.
Brian Stewart (0-1) suffered the loss after giving up nine runs in 1 1/3 innings. Reid Price singled in the eighth inning for Stratford's only hit in the game.

Geoff Allen and Jeff McGinn also homered in the win and Craig Hawkins (1-0) allowed two runs and five hits while striking out seven batters in five innings.
Brian Sewell (0-1) went the distance for Oshawa, allowing 10 runs - eight earned - and nine hits.
Brad McConnachie had a hit and three walks and drove in a run for Oshawa.
