Toronto Maple Leafs 2, Guelph Royals 1

In Toronto, Paul Spoljaric tossed a complete game six-hitter to back the Maple Leafs to a 2-1 win over the Guelph Royals in one of four Intercounty Baseball League games on Sunday.

Spoljaric (2-0) struck out 11 batters and didn�t walk any and held Guelph off the scoreboard until the fifth inning.

Matt Logan singled home Mike Grieve for the winning run in the seventh inning.

Ryan Asis has two hits for Guelph, including a run-scoring double in the fifth inning. Rylan Pranger (0-1) gave up one run in 5 2/3 innings.

Hamilton Thunderbirds 5, Oshawa Dodgers 3

In Hamilton, Justin Wendt belted a two-run home run in the seventh inning to lift the Thunderbirds to a 5-3 win over the Oshawa Dodgers.

Tom Robertson and Andy Steeds had two hits each and Joe Winkelsas (1-0) picked up the win with three innings of scoreless relief.

Brian Sewell (0-1) allowed five runs and 10 hits in seven innings. Tom Colbary had a pair of hits for the Dodgers.

Kitchener Panthers 6, Barrie Baycats 5

In Kitchener, Luke Baker drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to give the Panthers a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the Barrie Baycats.

Harpreet Padda scored the winning run for the Panthers tied the game with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning to force extra innings.

Chris Dickie (1-0) worked two innings of scoreless relief for the win.

Cam Newitt (0-1) took the loss after 5 1/3 innings of relief and Jonathan Baksh hit a solo home run for the Baycats.

Brantford Red Sox 11, Stratford Storm 7

In Stratford, Jeremy Hudson had a pair of hits and drove in three runs to help the Brantford Red Sox to an 11-7 win over the Storm.

Dan Baribeau had three hits and drove in a pair of runs and Mike McFadden (1-0) got the win after allowing two runs and four hits in 2 2/3 innings. Starter Tom Boleska gave up five runs � four earned � and five hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Jeremy Beck (0-1) surrendered seven runs � six earned � and seven hits in five innings.

John Hanko had three hits, including a double for the Storm.
