Kewley Tosses Six Strong Innings To Lead Storm

Kris Kewley gave up just one earned run on four hits over six strong innings to lead the Storm to their fifth win of the season. He also struck out four as St. Thomas moved a game above .500 with the win. Jason Head led the attack with a home run, single and three RBI�s while Jamie Gosselin added three singles and two RBI�s.
For the Tigers Mike Robertson had three hits, including a double, and an RBI. Waterloo starter Adam Beck took the loss, allowing seven earned runs on eleven hits over six innings. He struck out three and walked one.

Angus Roy tossed a compete-game six-hitter to lead the Baycats to their sixth win of the season against just three losses. Roy, now 4-0, struck out eleven as Barrie moved into a third-place tie with the Cardinals. Sean Chalmers led the winners with two hits and he added a run. The Baycats scored twice on two straight wild pitches in the sixth inning by Hamilton starter Bill Lawrence. Lawrence took the loss, giving up six earned runs on nine hits. Sean Chalmers and Ryan Davis both went 2 for 5 at the plate for Barrie.

London struck early against the Kitchener as the Majors earned their third win of the season. Tim Hinchcliffe went 2 for 3 with and RBI and two runs to lead the Majors. Jay Greaves was 2 for 5 with an RBI and Rowan Lam added a hit and an RBI with two runs scored. Andy Broughton went five innings for the victory while Adam Campbell threw three innings and faced just ten batters.
Panthers starter Adam Hornastaj took the loss, giving up four earned runs in a complete-game effort. Luke Baker led the Kitchener attack going 2 for 5 with a run scored.
