In Brantford, Jason Trim belted a grand slam in the third inning that paced the Brantford Red Sox to a 17-7 win over the Stratford Storm in one of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Wednesday.
Raul Borjas had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in three runs and John Mariotti added four hits for Brantford.
Tom Boleska (1-1) was the winner after allowing one unearned run and one hit in 4 2/3 innings of relief.
Yoel Fernandez (0-1) took the loss after allowing 12 runs - 11 earned - and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Roop Chanderdat doubled for Stratford's only hit in the game.

In Toronto, Matt Logan drew a bases loaded walk that forced in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Toronto Maple Leafs a 5-4 win over the Barrie Baycats.
Damon Topolie had a pair of RBI singles and Jeremiah Groulx drove in a run with a single in the fourth inning. Hans Schnell led off the ninth with a walk and scored the winning run.
David Hatch (1-1) picked up the win after pitching a scoreless ninth inning after starter Yole Reina allowed four runs on eight hits in eight innings.
Ryan Davis had an RBI single in the first inning, Dave Latour had a two-run single in the second and Ian Prescott belted a solo homer in the fourth for Barrie.
Reliever Cam Newitt (2-3) took the loss after allowing a run and three hits in 4 2/3 innings.
