Tigers Roar Back From 13-4 Deficit To Edge Panthers

Waterloo came back from a nine-run deficit to hand Kitchener it�s eighth straight defeat. An eight-run explosion in the bottom of the fifth got the Tigers back in the game and they outscored the Panthers 4-1 the rest of the way. Waterloo player-manager Jason Hoch delivered the biggest hit of the game, a two-RBI single in the sixth inning that gave the Tigers their first lead at 14-13. Greg Stefan had a two-run home run and four RBI�s to pace the winners while Tim Henderson added a two-run home run. Pat Hill (2-2) earned the win with one inning of relief. Tigers shortstop Rob Dinwoodie was called upon to pitch in the sixth inning and gave up only one run in three innings of work. He struck out two and walked one. Kitchener�s Todd Dougherty (1-2) took the loss after allowing three runs on five hits in two innings of relief. Andy Pietraszko led the Panthers at the plate with a home run, single and four RBI�s. Randy Curran had three hits and three RBI�s while Jeff Pietraszko chipped in with two hits and two RBI�s.
