Storm Brings Maple Leafs Eighteen Game Streak To An End

The Storm ended the Maple Leafs 18-game win streak with a miraculous comeback this afternoon. Trailing 6-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, St. Thomas scored seven times to pull off the win. Andrew Mercier knocked in the winning run, one of his two RBI�s in the game. Kris Kewley and Jason Head had two hits and an RBI apiece. Kewley also earned the win with a complete-game effort. He gave up five earned runs on eleven hits while fanning six,
Chad Ertel took the loss after allowing five earned runs on eight hits in five and a third innings. Rob Patterson had three singles for Toronto while Gamin Teague, Rob Butler and Jason Corrigale had two hits each. Both of Teague�s hits were doubles and he added a pair of RBI�s.
Reeves Pitches Six Strong Innings To Help Maple Leafs Gain Split

The Maple Leafs bounced back in the second game of their doubleheader with the Storm and downed St. Thomas 8-2. Jeff Reeves gave up a pair of earned runs on eight hits through six and a third to earn the win. Rob Patterson led the offense with a home run and two singles. Kevin Foley chipped in with two singles and an RBI and Damon Topolie had a home run and two RBI�s.
St. Thomas starter Tom Vankasteren lasted two innings and took the loss. He gave up three earned runs on two hits. Darby Parson led the Storm with a double and two singles while Kris Kewley chipped in with two hits.
Churchill Leads Royals Past Cardinals

Trevor Churchill led Guelph to a 7-2 victory over Hamilton in the first game of a doubleheader this afternoon. Churchill was 2 for 3 with four RBI�s and two solen bases (including home once), and he scored twice. Matt Stocco went 2 for 3 while Kevin Hinton hit a solo home run (2) to lead off the fifth inning. Brian Dikdan went six innings for the win, giving up two earned runs on four hits while striking out four.
Cardinals starter Joe Demartino took the loss, allowing seven runs (4 earned) on eight hits in five innings. Jeff Allen led the offense with a pair of hits.
Cooper Tosses Five Shutout Innings

Casey Cooper threw five shutout innings as the Royals completed the doubleheader sweep with an easy 12-1 win. Cooper gave up just two hits to earn his third win of the season against two losses. Matt Spatafora paced the Guelph attack with two hits and three RBI�s. Trevor Churchill added two hits and scored twice while Kyle Leon went 1 for 3 with three RBI�s.
Sean Reilly led Hamilton with a hit and an RBI. Justin Bartkiewicz took the loss, giving up six earned runs on nine hits in just two and a third innings.
Tigers Win Third Straight, Move Into Eighth Place

The Tigers won their third in a row and four of their last five to move into sole possession of eighth place. Tyler Wilson went six strong innings to earn the win, giving up two earned runs on four hits while striking out a pair. Rob Dinwoodie led the attack with a double, home run and two RBI�s. Jason Hoch also had a big night, going 4 for 4 with one RBI.
London starter Yoel Fernandez also went six solid innings but took the loss. He gave up three earned runs on nine hits and struck out six. Tim Hinchcliffe was 2 for 4 with a pair of stolen bases for the Majors. Rowan Lam chipped in with an RBI-triple.
