Toronto starter Chris Rauth (6-0) held Brantford to a single earned run on nine hits in seven innings as the Maple Leafs won their second in a row. Rauth struck out five and walked no one as the visitors improved to 22 and 2. Sean Travers and Rich Butler each had two hits and an RBI to lead Toronto.
Starter Brett Gibson (2-3) took the loss as the Red Sox lost their fifth straight and fall to 8 and 17. Gibson gave up four earned runs on six hits while striking out three and walking six. Ryan Lane and Raul Borjas stroked a pair of singles each for Brantford.

Barrie earned a much-needed win tonight in Hamilton and moved back above the .500 mark. A six-run explosion in the fourth inning was spearheaded by Cory Torchan�s three-run home run (2) and a three-run double off the bat of Andrew Sorochan. Sorochan leads the Baycats with 16 RBI�s. Matt VanGeene added two singles and two RBI�s for the winners while Ryan Davis chipped in with a two hits and an RBI. Brad Bissell (2-1) went the distance to earn the victory. He allowed three earned runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking three.
Hamilton starter and loser Bill Lawrence (1-3) was tagged for nine earned runs in five and a third innings. The Cardinals, now 14 and 11, were led by Brandon Schmidt who had three singles and an RBI.
