Justin Bartkiewicz threw seven strong innings and Shane Ridley provided plenty of offense as the Cardinals won their third in a row, 4-1 over the visiting Storm. Bartkiewicz improves to 6 and 1 with the win after allowing one earned run on six hits through seven-plus innings (he pitched to two batters in the eighth). Ridley belted a two-run home run (4) in the second, then added an RBI-single in the eighth inning. Bill Lawrence threw a scoreless eighth and Craig Hawkins came on in the ninth to earn the save (1). Jarrod Haases sacrifice fly in the sixth accounted for the other Hamilton run. For St. Thomas Jeremy Hudsons RBI-single was the only damage done against Cardinals pitching. Jamie Gosselin added a double for the Storm, now a game and a half behind sixth-place Kitchener.
