Oshawa Dodgers Add Two New PitchersThe Oshawa Dodgers are pleased to announce the signing of 2 quality pitchers, Darryl Jennings and Adam Clarke.
Darryl is a Right Handed Pitcher, he played his minor baseball for the Whitby Minor Baseball Association, as a Junior for Whitby Darryl helped his team to an OBA championship.
He then played baseball at the University of Toronto where in his first start for the U of T Blues threw a NO HITTER. Darryl was named the U of T rookie of the year in 1999. With Darryl's help the U of T won an OUA championship and won the conference championship and medalled at the national championships in three consecutive years.
When reached for a comment coach May had this to say:"Darryl fits in great with the players we have signed, he is a team player and will be one of our starters for years to come". Director of Baseball Operations Sam Dempster has faced Darryl with his Durham College Lords ball club and had this comment: "Darryl has the ability to be a starter for any team in the league, this was a great signing by coach May"
Adam is a Right Handed Pitcher, he played his minor baseball for Erin Mills, Adam played 2 years of Junior ball for Erin Mills were he was a Co-Captain and had a record of 15-4.He then played his last year of Junior baseball for the Mississauga North Tigers where he was 5-0. Adam was a member of the Central Ontario All Star team that played at SkyDome the past 3 summers. Adam currently attends Graceland University in Iowa where he was an Honourable Mention Western Division Team and won the Big "K" award for striking out the most batters in a season for his team.Coach May had this to say: "Adam will be a starter for years to come". "Adam has great control", " At school this year he has struck out 39 and only walked 14".
