Dodgers Win Tightens Playoff Race

Oshawa moved to within a half game of the final playoff spot with a 9-4 win in Waterloo Friday night. The Dodgers broke things open with a four-run eighth inning.
Adam Clarke earned the win with a complete-game six-hit effort. He struck out four and walked three. Ryan Crotin led the winners at the plate with two doubles and two RBI�s. Ken Calway added two hits and two RBI�s for the winners who are now a half-game back of the final playoff spot.
Waterloo starter Tyler Wilson took the loss, giving up five runs on eight hits over seven innings. He walked four and struck out two. Jason Hoch led the Tigers attack with two hits and an RBI.
Majors Comeback Falls Short

The Majors scored four times in the bottom of the seventh but their comeback fell one run short as the Storm hung on for the 6-5 victory. Jason Head led St. Thomas with two hits, including a home run, and two RBI�s. Head did suffer a mild concussion when he was struck in the head by a pitch. Kris Kewley and Rick Ross added two hits each and Kris Harris had two hits and two stolen bases. Ross also earned the win, giving up one earned run in six innings. Tom Vankastern notched the save.
For London Sean Latimer went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI�s. Jared Franke took the loss, giving up five earned runs on ten hits in six innings. He struck out seven and walked one. The two teams meet again tonight to finish their respective regular seasons.
