Toronto Maple Leafs 13, Hamilton Cardinals 11
In Toronto, Steve Condotta had three hits, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning, to power the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 13-11 win over the Hamilton Cardinals in the Intercounty Baseball League playoffs on Thursday. Toronto wins the series 4-1.
Mike Grieve had four hits and Dan Gibbons, who earlier in the day was named to the IBL All-Star Team, added three hits and drove in three runs in the win.
Chris Rauth (1-0) allowed eight runs and nine hits in six innings and Matt Kniginyzky retired the final batter for the save.
Hamilton starter Mark McDonald (0-1) allowed seven runs and five hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Jon McGinn clubbed a solo homer in the sixth inning and Tom Robertson and Jeremy Walker each had two hits and drove in two runs for Hamilton.

London Majors 18, Kitchener Panthers 13 (10 innings)
In Kitchener, Kevin Virtue pitched three innings of hitless relief and added three hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs to lift the London Majors to an 18-13 win over the Kitchener Pnathers.
London wins the series 4-3 and will face Toronto in the second round of the IBL playoffs. The Brantford Red Sox and Guelph Royals will also meet in the second round.
Virtue (1-0) came on in the eighth inning after Simon Galarraga belted a two-run homer with two out in the top of the inning to tie the game.
Pete Babock and Alex Blackburn hit back-to-back homers for London in the sixth inning.
Second Team All-Star Jamie Pietraszko belted a three-run homer in the first inning for Kitchener and Craig Stroph added a pair of hits and drove in four runs.
